Business Developer B2B - Solar & Renewable Energy

Polarsun is looking for a B2B Business Developer responsible for the commercial development of photovoltaics, electric vehicle charging stations and energy storage systems, with a strong focus on the industrial and tertiary sectors.

Who we are :

Polarsun is an innovative company in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. We are active in the photovoltaics, electric vehicle charging stations and energy storage systems markets, as well as air conditioning, heat pumps and commercial refrigeration. We support our B2B clients in their energy transition, with a particular focus on the industrial, and tertiary sectors.

Polarsun is part of Group VHC, a group active in multi-technics with 120 employees, and a market leader in Belgium for more than 20 years.

Your role :

As a B2B Business Developer, you will be responsible for the technical, commercial and financial development of all our energy solutions portfolio for our B2B customers. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Commercial Development : Proactively prospect new clients, analyse their needs for renewable energy and energy efficiency, and propose appropriate technical and economic solutions in collaboration with our engineering team.
  • Relationship : Build customer relationships, based on expertise, advice and active listening.
  • Managing Complex Projects : Create bespoke offers, integrate multiple technologies (photovoltaics, HVAC, energy storage, etc.) and coordinate internal and external resources needed to implement the projects.
  • Negotiation and Contracting : Negotiate contract terms in a balanced manner, together with our experts, and perform opportunity analysis for each project.
  • Product Innovation and Adaptation : Design new products or adapt existing solutions to meet market demands, considering Polarsun’s internal capabilities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with our Heads of Departments to support the development of energy services for our B2B clients, while collaborating with internal technical teams.

Your profile :

  • Education : Master’s degree in business, science, industrial engineering, or similar experience.
  • Experience : At least 10 years of technical/commercial experience in renewable energy or photovoltaics. Experience in HVAC and/or multi-technical activities in the B2B sector is a plus.
  • Skills :
    • Proven experience in project development and new business acquisition
    • Strong technical knowledge in renewable energy.
    • Teamplayer.
    • Strong personal commitment and results-oriented mindset.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in French.
    • Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
